OPEN SOURCE MARKETING - All geeks unite!

First it was just time (not that many hardcore programmers, had such hardcore social lives...), but now they are asking for $$? Is this not crossing the line? Is this not taking peoples love for the underdog too far? They ask for time, money and then more money and time... and for what? Has this not gone past the point of absurdity and into not simply become one big joke!?

...Or is this just the first rays of a new day are beginning to peak over the horizon? Perhaps this will be the apple that started it all by falling on our heads. Only time will tell... 8 days to go!

Official CIA Terrorist Busters Logo

The seriousness and dedication of the government agencies have always felt so official that despite numerous negative press and scandals, the organizations always remained highly respected. That being said, new OFFICIAL logo for the DCI Counterterrorist Center (aka Terrorist Busters) leaves me feeling a bit.... doubtful.

Ever read any tech proposals, marketing materials of corporate mission statements? Well, I now understand that they all must have used the dack.com > web > web economy bullshit generator as an essential component for making it everything sound more techy.

The jig it up fellows! Your rouse has been uncovered!

My favorites....

Capitalism's' latest frontier! -- Virgin Galactic

Space travel! Yes, that's right... SPACE TOURISM. With the X-Prize ready to be snatched, it looks like there is bound to be some exciting times ahead. I guess the space hotels are coming next. Here comes a whole new space-based industry.... Space hotels, space insurance, space gadgets & souvenirs, space airports (spaceports?).

In any case,
Virgin Galactic plans to have the first flights scheduled to take-off sometime in '07, sooooooo if you start saving today, you might be able to afford the proposed 200K$/flight price-tag.

I know its space we're talking about, but do the prices really have to be so far out of this world? I guess I'd better start investing in space-stocks to be able to afford it.

Live long and prosper!
